Study of karyotype evolution in loach fishes (Teleostei: Cobitoidea) – polyploidisation, mapping of repetitive DNA sequences (rDNA, snDNA, histones, transposable elements), sex chromosomes, phylogeny; application of laser microdissection and comparative genomic hybridization (CGH) in (not only) fish cytotaxonomy.
