
Zdenka Ellederová is a new head of a laboratory of cellular regeneration and plasticity (LBRP).This laboratory is a part of PIGMOD (Pig Models of Disese) Center.
Education
| 2004 | graduated in biomedical engineering, and received her Ph.D. in biochemistry at the Institute of Chemical Technology in Prague, Czech Republic |
| 2005-2009 | postdoctoral fellow at Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center and Sanford Burnham Medical Research Institute in San Diego, USA, studying Cks proteins in meiosis. |
Work Experience
| 2013-today | working as a scientist at PIGMOD center following the phenotype of a minipig transgenic model for Huntington’s disease (HD) |
| 2017-2018 | PI of a Research agreement with CHDI foundation for phenotypic development of HD minipigs |
| 2014-2017 | responsible for a specific aim in Czech-Norwegian grant and she is also involved in preclinical testing of HD therapy using this model |
| 2016-2020 | in charge of one out of five aims of the National Sustainability Program of PIGMOD Center |
| supervises undergraduate as well as postgraduate students | |
| takes the responsibility for all projects including retinal degeneration as well as spinal cord injury being studied in LBRP |
